Portrait Contact Sheets: Final Edits: This is the project I was dreading. Portrait photography is not my strong suit, so I was anxious to do many shoots for this one, most of which didn't turn out well. Overall, I'm mostly happy with how these turned out. I was having issues with the printer that caused the reds and oranges to turn almost pink, so I had to adjust the colors in Lightroom for printing, which is why many of them appear yellow in color. I like the style I went for, but i wish I was able to do more traditional portraits, but I'm happy they stood out on the wall.

Flaneur Contact Sheets: Final Edits: When we were assigned this project, I was a little iffy about it. I knew I wanted to capture some of the charm of Portsmouth because I grew up there, but I didn't know where to start. I felt overwhelmed. However, once I got into it, I just took pictures of whatever I thought was interesting. The one thing that I feel is missing are people in the environment. I always feel uncomfortable taking pictures of people, which is something I need to work on.
Still Life Contact Sheets: Final Edits: I very much enjoyed this project, and I wanted to make a point to stay away from traditional still life. Many of the photos are kind of a jab at TV in the modern age. I wanted to push this point a little more only lighting the scenes with the old TV in the lighting studio. This gave this pictures this eerie blue glow, which I amplified a bit in Lightroom. I also wanted to push myself by making a composite picture. For this, I used the lighter. I propped the little plastic candle behind it, and edited it out in post. This project was definitely my favorite so far.
